On a whim, in March 2019, I went to Vietnam with my very good friend Yanina. We were talking one day when she casually said, “I have tickets to Vietnam. Would you like to come?” I already had a trip to Amsterdam planned for just four weeks later, but without thinking too much about it, I said, “Sure, why not? I’ve always wondered about that place.”
And just like that, I was going to Vietnam. What started as a completely spontaneous decision ended up becoming one of the most memorable trips of my life.
