I'm Lena Di, a fine art photographer based in New York, and boudoir is some of the most meaningful work I do. A boudoir session isn't about becoming someone else. It's about seeing yourself the way the people who love you already do: confident, sensual, honest and entirely you.
A fine art approach to boudoir
I came to boudoir from fine art. I was born in Russia, raised in New York, and have worked as a full-time photographer since 2015. My work has been exhibited in New York and internationally, and much of it, including my figure series The Nude, is about the body as form, light and emotion. I bring that same eye to every boudoir session. I think in shapes and shadows, I use soft directional light, and I look for the unposed moments when you stop performing and simply relax. The result is images that feel editorial and timeless, not generic or overly retouched.

Who boudoir is for
Boudoir is for anyone who wants to celebrate themselves. My clients book sessions for an anniversary or wedding gift, after a big life change, or for no reason at all except that they deserve it. You don't need modeling experience. I guide every pose, every turn of the head and every breath. Most people tell me afterward that they were nervous for the first five minutes and then forgot the camera was there.
The studio: private, calm, in the Financial District
Sessions take place by appointment in my private studio at 25 Broad St, New York, NY 10004, in Manhattan's Financial District. It's a closed, unhurried space. It's just us (and your hair and makeup artist if you book one), with music you choose and as many breaks as you like. I also photograph on location, at your home or a hotel suite, anywhere in the five boroughs and beyond. I'm based in NYC, but I shoot worldwide, so destination boudoir is welcome too.
How a session works
- Message me. Send me a WhatsApp message or email lena@lenadi.com with a few lines about what you have in mind and the dates you're considering.
- Plan together. We talk through mood, wardrobe, location and whether you'd like hair and makeup. I'll send a simple wardrobe guide.
- The shoot. We start slowly. I show you a few frames on the back of the camera early so you can see how good you look, which changes everything.
- Your images. You choose your favorites, and I retouch them with a light, natural hand. Skin still looks like skin.

What to wear
Bring more than you think you'll need. A few lingerie sets in different moods, an oversized shirt or sweater, a robe, heels if you love them, and something meaningful like a partner's shirt or a favorite piece of jewelry. Solid colors and textures (lace, silk, knit) photograph beautifully in black and white and color. Fine art boudoir can also be implied nude, using fabric, shadow and pose. We'll only go as far as you're comfortable, and you can change your mind at any point.
Privacy
Your images are yours. I never publish, share or use a boudoir image anywhere, including this website, social media or my portfolio, without your explicit written permission. Many clients choose to keep everything private, and that's completely normal.
